Pinoargote rejects sanction from Supercom
Journalist and Interviewer of TV Space Contacto Directo, of Ecuavisa channel, Alfredo Pinoargote, says he will not apologize because the penalty imposed by the Superintendency of Communication (Supercom) is “unfounded.”
“The resolution forcing me to apologize is unfounded because there has been no discrimination against any human being as required by the Communications Law in order to impose this sanction,” argued Pinoargote.
The Supercom, led by Carlos Ochoa says the commentary issued by Pinoargote, was taken as discriminatory, by referring that ” an individual can no longer name gays as fags, the black people as niggers, or thieves as burglars…”
Meanwhile the journalist countered arguing that the penalty did not comply with due legal process and he will not comply with the request. Furthermore presenter of Ecuavisa did not rule out to attend international legal bodies to defend his case.
