Plagiarism of Glas thesis is debated on the net
After the publication of a report to the effect that the thesis presented to graduate himself as an engineer from the Polytechnic School of the Coast (Espol) was plagiarized by a Patricia Chavez Burbano and Antonio Reinoso Herrera, in 2004, and that some segments were copied from an internet page (rincondelvago.com), Jorge Glas, the vice president candidate of Rafael Correa, stepped out and through his Twitter account denied that such a thing has happened.
“The thesis was not the theoretical framework, was the implementation of a network of wireless data transmission,” wrote @JorgeGlas, adding that the “thesis was on a telecommunications network, the part of the theoretical framework is being called plagiarism that takes as source other academic thesis.”
El Universo newspaper brings information that continued to criticize Glas, apart from the daily itself found that he does not mentions in his 2004 thesis bibliography, and that some paragraphs are identically copied.
