The president of Ecuador fulfills a European agenda that began in Italy and will continue in the coming days in France and Spain.

The President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa, fulfills his agenda during his European tour and on May 12, 2024, he met with migrants in Italy.
“We spoke with leaders of migrant associations from Rome, Milan, Genoa and Perugia to learn about their needs and renew public policies for the benefit and defense of their rights,” the Foreign Ministry account published on the social network X.
During the conversation with the migrants, Noboa thanked the support his management has received from Ecuadorians residing abroad.
In this meeting, held at the Christ the Redeemer Church in Rome, the president expressed: “We are going to respect and enforce the rights of Ecuadorians on this continent.”
Likewise, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, the President sang songs popularized by the Ecuadorian artist Julio Jaramillo. Although, when singing the song ‘Odiame’, he made a variant in the lyrics to allude to his opponents. “Bringing a little bit of Ecuador to the migrants in Rome on this day. And to those suffering people in Ecuador, hate me out of pity, I ask you.”
Likewise, Chancellor Gabriela Sommerfeld presented to the migrants the pillars of the New Ecuador program, which seeks digital transformation, the installation of a mobile Consulate, a Migrant Balcony and the Ecuadorian Integration initiative.
Sommerfeld highlighted the services that are progressively included in the consulates. “Starting this month, we will be launching the first products”, said the Secretary of State, referring to services such as visa, apostilles and billing.
President Noboa will be in Italy until next May 14, according to his agenda, during which time he plans to meet with Pope Francis. His next destinations are France and Spain.
