John Atta Mills, dies at the age of 68
The president of Ghana, John Atta Mills, died today in the city of Accra at the age of 68 years, said the Presidency of the African country in a statement.
In the text, the chief of staff of the Ghanaian Presidency, John Henry Martey Newman, announced “with great sorrow in the heart, the sudden death” of the highest representative of the country.
Atta Mills died this afternoon at the 37th Military Hospital in the Ghanaian capital while receiving medical attention after being sick a few hours before, the cause of death has not been specified yet.
The vice-president, John Dramani Mahama, will address the country’s population soon. (MZ)
