Posted On 18 Dec 2012
Jalal Talabani, President of Iraq, is in a hospital at Baghdad, while his team tries to stabilize him after having suffered a strong stroke, as reported by the government spokesman, Ali al-Moussawi.
Talabani, unifying character, above sectarian and ethnic divisions of his country, is known for his activism in finding solutions to the crisis between Iraq’s central government and the Kurdish minority in the country.
Talabani’s medical team have not yet decided whether the president will still be treated in Baghdad or flown to another country for treatment.
