The Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE for its Spanish acronym) will begin, this Monday September 17, controls to penalize drivers traveling over the speed limit in urban areas of Guayaquil.
The penalty consists in three days of prison, a fine of $ 292.10 and 10 points less on the drivers’ license, according to Article 145 of the Traffic Act.
The executive director of the CTE, Hector Camacho Solorzano said yesterday that these controls are going to tale place initially on the Narcisa de Jesus highway and later the controls will cover the Francisco de Orellana street, the Juan Tanca Marengo street and the Las Americas avenue. (MZ)
