Project of the beach train is socialized in Spain

The Vice President of the Republic, María Alejandra Vicuña, fulfills a work agenda in Spain. Her priority, promote the economy and investment in the country.
This Monday, October 22, her activities began. Her first appointment was with investors from the Iberian nation, to report on the Beach Train project, which will connect Daule with Manta, on a 400-km route. Its cost would demand around $ 1,000 million.
At the moment the technical studies of the work are carried out. She also participated in the meeting “We are Latin America: Legislating for the Economic Empowerment of Women”, promoted by the Government of Spain, UN Women and the Ibero-American General Secretariat.
The vice-presidents of Spain, Carmen Calvo, and Costa Rica, Epsy Campbell, also participated in the meeting. Vicuña highlighted the achievements in terms of equality at the level of legislation and inclusion.
She highlighted, for example, that more than 40% of the seats in the National Assembly have been occupied by women. At the same time she said that the Popular and Solidarity Economy deepens the inclusion through the chain from the rural and urban. “64% of the economically active population is part of the Popular and Solidarity Economy, a percentage that is occupied mostly by women.”
The vice president of Spain clarified that there is a constant struggle of women in politics and the fulfillment of their objectives. “We are women who, after going through injustice and discrimination, share power, make decisions and assume the momentum of millions of women,” she said.
This Tuesday October 23 she will be in Valencia, where she will visit the facilities of Aguas de la Ciudad and sign an agreement with the fund Neftan, EPA and Aguas de Valencia. (I)
