Prosecutors’ Office asks full Revision of Signatures
Posted On 07 Aug 2012
The report on the analysis of 10% of the signatures that were used for the registration or re-registration of different political movements in the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) were delivered today to the Prosecutors’ Office for preliminary investigation of the case of forged signatures.
Because of the inconsistencies found in the results of the signatures verification, the Prosecutors’ Office ordered a review of 100% of the rubrics.
This new verification could begin next Friday and extended until August 30.
The process could take place in Cemexpo, near a location known as “Mitad del Mundo” (Half of the World in english), and it could involve around 2,500 people. (MZ)
