Rafael Correa: Ecuador highways will not be rebuilt with tuna donations
Posted On 24 Apr 2016
Yesterday, before exposing the tax reform bill proposed for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the earthquake of last April 16, President Rafael Correa said that highways will not be rebuilt with donations of canned tuna, supplies and clothes.
“They are necessary, welcome, but we will not overcome it (the catastrophe) with that. We are going to overcome this with collective organized actions, institutionalized actions … This is just the beginning, it will take months, years, it will cost billions of dollars,” he said in his weekly address No. 472 (I).
