Rafael Correa must answer for 9 million dollars for misusing the State Aircrafts
Another abuse of power was detected in the government of former President Rafael Correa. The Comptroller General of the State determined that the ex-president must answer for a glossary of nine million dollars for the misuse of state airplanes.
The news was disseminated on September 12, 2019, by the person involved. In his Twitter account, as usual, Correa said “Yesterday [Wednesday, September 11] I was notified” gloss “of nine million dollars for” use of presidential aircraft. ” It must be something unprecedented in history, “gloss” a president for not having used the aircraft exclusively for him, but to have put them at the service of the entire State. ”
This response caused several users of the social network to question the “service of the entire State”.

The Comptroller detected that between 2012 and 2017, Correa did not control the use of airplanes and even allowed payment for trips without passengers.
In total, the government of the self-proclaimed citizen revolution spent $ 13.5 million for 58 flights with the two presidential aircraft, 24 trips with the TAME units and nine mobilizations with the Petroamazonas teams. All these movements were international.
One of the most controversial findings is that during the correísmo trips were made without records of passengers and their luggage. No documents were presented showing who traveled or why they did it. It is not known that they transported.
Among the destinations were trips to tax havens.
