Ramiro Rivadeneira defends the regime

Yesterday the regime reported through its official media, the defender of the people (Obudsman) Ramiro Rivadeneira, started in the Twentieth of Criminal Court of Pichincha a protective action against Jaime Mantilla, director of newspaper Hoy, “for refusing to rectify false information published last May 31.”

The article entitled “Correa calls gay marriage a novelty,” was questioned by the Ministry of Communication. The organization demanded a rectification of that newspaper saying that the statement of the regime leader was taken out of context in an international agency.

While the Ombudsman asked for a judgment declaring the infringement of the right to receive accurate and verified information and that it provides the means to correct, so said the official statement said.
