Regular passenger flights will continue to be suspended until May 31 at Ecuadorian airports.

Regular passenger flights in Ecuador remain suspended until May 31

A Notam (information document for flights) issued by the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) confirms the suspension of flights until that date. The Aviation Ecuador Twitter account, dedicated to aeronautical issues, disclosed the Notam.

The Government had anticipated that the flights were still suspended, but had not specified dates. The Emergency Operations Committee has also not specified a restart of flights at the terminals.

The only guaranteed flights for these days are the emergency, humanitarian, state, military and cargo flights.

The DGAC is gradually authorizing humanitarian flights to different airlines. Travel agencies are coordinating those flights.

Some of the humanitarian flights approved for this week are:

– Tame scheduled a flight from Quito to New York for Wednesday, May 13. See the Tame website for reservations https://www.tame.com.ec/index.php/en/ . Related questions may be directed to support.ventasweb@tame.com.ec .

– Metropolitan Touring scheduled a flight from Quito to Los Angeles for Thursday, May 14. For reports you can contact charterusa@mtagencia.com or by whatsApp + 593-9-9353-1012.

– United Airlines scheduled flights from Quito to Houston for Friday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 19. Interested customers can contact ventasecuador@united.com , through whatsApp + 593-9-8461-7257, www.united.com or travel agencies.

– Eastern Airlines scheduled flights from Guayaquil to Miami for Monday, May 18 and Monday, May 25. Passengers should call + 1-855-216-7601, + 1-877-971-0919 or + 1-201-526-7616.
