River Plate Stadium will be Open for Copa America
The final of Copa America will be played in the River Plate stadium as it was scheduled before the building was closed due to the riots of angry fans. Now that the closing order has been revoked, the team informed that their employees will immediately begin to repair the damaged areas.
It is still not known if the organisms that study the case will intervene and sanction the River Plate team and its stadium. The violent confrontations between the fans and the police left a toll of 89 wounded, 30 of them were policemen and 55 fans were arrested. The day after the riots, the district attorney of the city, Gustavo Galante ordered the closing of the stadium.
Some extremists fan have even attempted against the life of the River Plate manager, Daniel Mancusi, this Wednesday a bomb thrown by an unknown man, exploded near Mancusi house damaging its front entrance. (AV)
