James Badge Dale as Iron Patriot

The famous actor, Robert Downey Jr. hurt his ankle while filming an action scene of the upcoming movie ‘Iron Man 3’. His injury has caused a small delay in the production schedule but it’s expected that the actor recover in time, added Marvel Studios today.

The 47-year-old performer suffered an accident while filming a scene in Wilmington, North Carolina. Despite the delay produced by Downey’s injured ankle the third film of Iron Man will reach the theaters on May 3 of 2013.

In Iron Man 3 we will see familiar faces, like Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Ben Kingsley as an unknown villain, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale as Iron Patriot, and of course Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as the billionaire and superhero, Tony Stark. (AV)
