Yesterday, Portuguese defender and Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo said to the press he is suffering from muscle strain but hopes to be fit for the friendly match against the Ecuadorian team tomorrow, February 6 ), as part of their preparation for the matches of the South American Qualifiers for World Cup Brazil 2014.

“I am devoted body and soul for my team. It is an honor to represent Portugal and whether or not I am 100% on Wednesday I will give my contribution, “said Ronaldo.

The striker, who yesterday joined the call for the Portugal in Guimarães, said he will meet with Coach Paulo Bento, and the medical team to analyze his physical condition.

Ronaldo strengthened his commitment to his team, which he leads and denied any hypothesis of play at half speed, overlooking the crucial game he will face next week with Real Madrid against Manchester United, where  the Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia plays.
