Rousseff responds to FIFA’s president by Twitter
Current president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, responded, through her Twitter account, to the criticism by FIFA’s president Joseph Blatter, regarding the delay in organizing the World Cup. Rousseff said that Brazil will give the world the ‘Cup of all Cups’.
“We love football and for that reason we will host this Cup with pride and make it the Cup of all Cups.” wrote Rousseff on her official Twitter account.
Immediately Blatter himself replied to the message of the President to retract his criticism and express that agrees that Brazil will be a “great host.”
In an interview with Swiss newspaper 24 Heures on Sunday, the FIFA president said that Brazil was further behind schedule than any previous host despite having seven years to prepare for the event.
“(… ) They started too late, is the most backward country since I’m in the FIFA and is the only one who had so long to prepare,” Blatter said, recalling that Brazil was chosen as the site in 2007.
