Sacyr seeks agreements to not paralyze The Works in The Panama Canal
Manuel Manrique, President of Sacyr consortium in charge of the expansion of the Panama Canal, said the project will be completed despite the open conflict caused by the additional costs requested by the infrastructure manager.
Manrique said that they are working on different scenarios to improve the situation of the “cash flow” of the company to avoid the do the stoppage of the works.
Through a press conference in Madrid, Sacyr holder, said “the situation is better than it was days ago.” According to Manrique, there is no “conflict” with Panama, but the problem of the time difference between the cash flow that the works need and the resolution of the discrepancies by the costs.
Similarly, said the financial solvency of Sacyr “will not be compromised” in the wake of this project and its economic stability is solvent and financially solid.
