Senami to Visit Ecuadorian Migrants in Spain
Beatriz Tola, representative of the National Secretariat for Migrants (Senami), arrived this Saturday in Spain in order to meet Ecuadorian citizens of Madrid, Barcelona and Murcia, where 1,500 compatriots were affected by earthquakes last May.
As indicated by the Embassy of Ecuador in Spain, the focus of this visit is to identify what is the current situation of 400,000 Ecuadorian immigrants living in this country.
During his stay in Madrid, Tola is scheduled to meet Anna Terrón, Spanish Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration.
On Wednesday, she will visit the Ecuadorian House in Murcia, where last May 11th it came to happen two earthquakes of 4.4 and 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale and where more than 1.500 Ecuadorians were affected by earthquakes.
On Friday 16, she will travel to Barcelona to meet with Xavier Bosch, director general of Immigration and Catalan regional government she will meet with community associations and fellow Ecuadoreans in Catalonia.
