On next Wednesday, the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce will host the debate, in which seven presidential candidates will participate.

The debate will consist of Alberto Acosta (MPD-PK), Guillermo Lasso (CREO), Lucio Gutierrez (PSP), Mauricio Rodas (SUMA), Alvaro Noboa (PRIAN), Norman Wray (Ruptura 25) and Nelson Zavala (PRE).

The candidates will address issues of general interest, such as insecurity, jobs, tax improvement, business and civil rights, freedom of expression, democracy and trade agreements with the United States and Europe.

Eduardo Peña, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said the aim of the discussion is to know the candidates’ proposals.

President Rafael Correa, a candidate for reelection by Alianza PAIS, has not been confirmed his assistance to the debate. (MZ)
