Severino Sharupi states they seek the indigenous uprising

The director of Territories of CONAIE, Severino Sharupi, in an interview with Ecuavisa referred to “a political process as the one that exists, on one side the national strike of workers, and on the other, the uprising, there will be sectors that want to cash on their behalf.” He also said that “they are watching the process to obtain positive results and to fulfill the agenda we are demanding to the government and the president.”
He explained that there are two forces in the country, one of the government and one from the right, looking to confront in the elections of 2017 “and we can not permit that, the indigenous movement can not allow to be used to divide the country,” Sharupi, that´s why they are proposing a third force, an alternative that is responsive to the needs of the Ecuadorian people.
