The current number five in the ATP ranking, Maria Sharapova, is for seventh occasion the best-paid sports woman according to the ranking of Forbes magazine.

The income of the Russian tennis player that comes from activities outside of the game field reaches a total of $25 million. This number surpasses the one of the Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, who despite of leading the world ranking of best tennis players only earned half that income ($12,5 million).

Seven of ten sportsmen with the highest payments are professional tennis players. (AV)
