SUMA-VIVE Councilors will supervise studies for Quito´s subway

Members of the SUMA-VIVE alliance said they will oversee the studies done by the previous administration (From the ruling party former Mayor Augusto Barrera) to build the Quito´s subway.

 Sergio Garnica, Councilor of the alliance, said that the audit will include an analysis of the use of the $ 29 million used for studies performed by the Madrid Metro company. “It is not possible that these dramatic differences exceed the reference budget of $ 1,504 million for the construction”, he said.

Jorge Albán, Alianza PAIS Councilor and member of the previous administration, said that this audit makes him glad, because this way the seriousness of the Spanish company and thoroughness of previous work will be noticed.
