Tame cancels flight from New York to Quito for ‘maintenance’

Ecuador’s state airline, Tame, has canceled two international flights. “Due to the unscheduled maintenance of the Airbus A330 aircraft, the operation of the EQ 550 and EQ 551 flights of Tame EP has been canceled,” it said in a statement posted on its website.
Flight EQ 550 corresponds to the route Quito – New York; whereas flight EC 551 corresponds to the route New York – Quito. According to Tame, only the flights corresponding to this Thursday, September 6, 2018 have been canceled.

However, in the portal of the Quito airport it appears with the “on time” category flight 551, coming from New York, scheduled for 16 : 15 this Thursday. While the next flight 550, departing from Quito, appears as “canceled”, dated September 7 (01:45).

According to Tame, “passengers have been notified and are protected according to the national and international regulations that govern airlines and within the policy of service and care of our customers, issued in decision 0619 of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN) “.
Context
On September 2 and 3, the Tame flights covering the Quito-New York-Quito route were canceled and the affected passengers were accommodated at the Quito Hotel facilities. Authorities of the national airline spoke with the passengers and informed them of the resumption of the flight for the following day, but that did not happen. In a statement,
