The barriers that protect Guacho crumble
Ecuadornews:

Walther Arízala, alias Guacho, is very close to being captured. At least that is the perception of the Colombian authorities that on Saturday managed to stop two other collaborators.
Alias Otto and Roberto who are part of the narcoterrorist front Óliver Sinisterra, were arrested in the Department of Nariño, in an operation that included the intervention of the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office, police and military.
Ecuadoran Luis Alfredo Segura, alias Roberto, Brigadier General Fernando Murillo, director of the Anti-kidnapping and Anti-Extortion Directorate of Colombia, reported that he was the one who kidnapped the newspaper team of El Comercio along with alias Cherry, also detained.
It is those catches that have led to the conclusion that the fence is closing for Guacho. In public statements, Murillo reported that Roberto is responsible for the Mataje area, San Lorenzo canton, Esmeraldas.
In that place, on March 26, Javier Ortega, Efraín Segarra and Paúl Rivas were kidnapped and killed almost 15 days later.
Ortega and his team had come to San Lorenzo to cover the violence and insecurity facing sites such as Mataje, Ricaurte, El Pan, La Cadena, Palma Real, among others.
Their kidnapping and murder was claimed by the group of Guacho that, according to the investigations of the Office of the Prosecutor of Colombia, would be made up of about 300 men and women.
Of them, about 120 would be armed and the other 180 would be collaborators who provide various services such as arms and ammunition custody, provision of provisions, extortion, hiring and intimidation.
It is thanks to these demobilized that they surrendered that the Prosecutor’s Office managed to make an X-ray of the narco-terrorist organization.
Protected witnesses have reported, for example, that the structure is led by alias Guacho as the main ringleader. A second in command is alias Oringo, the third is alias Smurf, in fourth place appears alias Reinel (Jesús Vargas Cuagiboy captured) and in fifth place of importance is placed alias Mocho.
Those close to Guacho run at least five places, as detailed in the file to which EXPRESO had access. The case to investigate the kidnapping was opened on April 4 in Bogotá. In Guayacana there is alias Danilo, in Candelillas Weiner, in Llorente David, in Patia Allende and Jorge in Ricaurte.
The Colombian Prosecutor’s Office has advanced investigations into the kidnapping and murder. It includes testimonies from human sources that allowed the arrest of those involved in the kidnapping and murder.
In Ecuador there is a previous investigation. The relatives of Javier, Paul and Efrain, directors of El Comercio, journalists, ex-ministers and ministers of the current government have given a version. Yesterday, the turn was also for lawyers who defend the defendants.
One of the calls to the Prosecutor’s Office was Segundo Caicedo, who defends five defendants for the explosion of the police station in San Lorenzo on January 27, attributed to Guacho. Caicedo was asked if he was aware of Guacho’s support in San Lorenzo. He said no and that his work is only professional.
