Two out of 10 Ecuadorians of legal age plan to go on vacation in the next year, says a study by the market consultancy Kantar.

The majority of Ecuadorians who have gone on vacation, 55%, have chosen to do tourism within the country, according to a report by the market consultant Kantar, published on August 9, 2023.
The information was obtained from a survey of 6,000 people.
The beaches of Ecuador are the preferred destination, taking into account that seven out of 10 people travel to the Coastal region. It is followed by the Sierra, with 36%. And finally the Amazon appears, with 9%.
For example, the coastal provinces of Manabí and Santa Elena are among the destinations with the most trips on the August 10 holiday.
For the next 12 months, 19% of Ecuadorians of legal age plan to travel.
“19% of people over the age of 18 set a goal to explore places in the coming months. Of them, 41.3%, who are from the age group of 25 to 34 years, have the firm intention of getting out of the routine of their work and visiting other destinations”, details César Maura, Country Leader of Kantar.
The majority of Ecuadorians who plan to travel expect to do so to international destinations, while 46% within Ecuador.
