The importation of 252 goods is facilitated
The Ecuadorian Normalization Service (INEN for its acronym in Spanish) reported that 252 tariff subheadings were removed from the control of the Ecuadorian Single Window (VUE for its acronym in Spanish).
The action responds to the repeal of Resolution 116 of the Committee on Foreign Trade (Comex) on November 27, 2018, which eliminated the control of 50 technical regulations for importation.
Among the products included in this decision are goods from the agroindustrial sector, cosmetics, hygiene and cleaning, plastics and their manufactures, chemicals and toys.
The National Quality System will implement a subsequent control scheme in the market of products subject to compliance with technical regulations.
With the repeal, the international trade facilitation agreements established by the General Secretariat of the CAN are complied with and allow Ecuador to expand its market. (I)
