The National Assembly celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Ecuador’s Return to Democracy

The National Assembly will organize several activities from today, August 5 to August 8 (Thursday) in order to conmemorate the forty years of Ecuador’s Return to Democracy.
The events will have an academic and cultural nature. The government also plans to celebrate the First Cry of Independence (“El Primer Grito de Independencia” in Spanish), which falls on Saturday, August 10th, appropriately.
Another important event is for condecorating the former president of Ecuador, Jaime Roldós, with the award ‘General Eloy Alfaro Delgado’.
Admission is free, and all citizens who wish to attend are invited.
