The Odebrecht case traps three other people

Criminal judge Ana Lucia Cevallos yesterday linked attorney Gustavo M., businessman Vladimir S., and the Vladmau Construcciones company, through its proxy Akira S., to the preliminary inquiry on the alleged crime of money laundering in the Odebrecht corruption plot.

The resolution contemplates pre-trial detention for Gustavo M. (which can not be executed because he is already detained by another legal process), while Vladimir S. was banned from leaving the country, he shall appear before the prosecutor´s office every week, starting Monday 30th of this month in addition to carrying an electronic device.

October 1st marked the 90 days determined by law for the preliminary inquiry in this case, whose major players are the former manager of Transportation of Petroecuador Ramiro C. and lawyer/businessman Diego C. After the linkage of the aforementioned people, the preliminary inquiry spans 30 more days. (I)
