The Super Bowl 2013, didn’t reach the audience record expected

Posted On 06 Feb 2013

Around 108.4 million viewers witnessed the most important sporting event in the United States, the Super Bowl, where the Baltimore Ravens defeat the San Francisco 49ers by por 34-3.

According to the numbers released by Nielsen, the broadcasting of the end of the National Football League (NFL) failed to break the audience record set in 2012. However, the Super Bowl on Sunday was the third most viewed  of this classic history of the NFL.

Music in the sport:

The sporting evening could not be inaugurated without the presentation of the Newton primary school choir, which last December suffered the tragic killing of innocents that shocked the world. The students were joined by actress and singer Jennifer Hudson who together sang “America the Beautiful”.

This year, the National Anthem of the United States was on charge of Alicia Keys, who in a white piano paid tribute to her country with a slow and romantic version.

Beyoncé, The most expected show  in the Super Bowl:

Despite being the end of the National Football Championship, for many people the attention was not in the game, but in the millions on advertising.

The singer, songwriter, producer and actress Beyoncé Knowles knew how to perform a spectacular halftime show, along with a set of lights that did thrill the audience.

Beyoncé relived her greatest hits as “Love on Top”, “Crazy in Love”, “Baby Boy” and “Single Ladies” in addition to surprise the audience with the reunion of Destiny’s Child with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. This trio recalled it biggest hits “Bootylicious” and “Independent Woman” from the film Charlie’s Angels.
