There are 10 people dead due to mudslide in Azuay
Today marked three days since the search for missing persons in the mining area of Pueblo Nuevo, Canton Ponce Enriquez, began and so far there are already 10 on the death toll count.

The rescue work began early in the morning with the intervention of the special units of the police, firefighters and five bulldozers to remove tons of mud and rocks down the mountain.
After hours of grueling searching, the bodies of Adriana Robles Yaguachi, 41, and their children Augusto, 8, and Ainoa Ordoñez Robles, 4, appeared before rescuers.
There were also rescued the bodies of two men, whose identities remain unknown, which are added to the five victims previously found: Saul Giron Flores (Peruvian), Noe Abad Chamba (Peruvian), Pedro Parra Cueva (Peruvian), Hilder Lloclia (Peruvian) and Fernanda Anabel Torres Robles (Ecuadorian).
Rescue efforts will go on throughout next week and mining activities in the area were temporarily suspended.
