Although he is not prosecuted in the Metastasis case, Xavier Jordán is one of Leandro Norero’s main interlocutors in his chats.

The Prosecutor’s Office continues to reveal the chats found in Leandro Norero ‘s 15 phones. This equipment was found in the Latacunga Prison, where the drug trafficker was murdered in October 2022.
So far, the Public Ministry has published 21 documents with chats between Norero and 16 people, including journalists, lawyers, police and judicial officials.
Four of these documents are from conversations between Xavier Jordán, who has already announced that he will sue the Prosecutor, Diana Salazar in the United States, and Norero. In total, 124 pages of excerpts from these conversations have been published.
Jordán assured on social networks that these publications are “a montage and a false positive from unscrupulous politicians who deceive the authorities.”
The photo alert
The interactions between Jordán and Norero, revealed by the Prosecutor’s Office, begin on May 30, 2022. Jordán complained to the drug trafficker that he was being attacked on social networks.
In those days, on X (formerly Twitter) a photograph taken at Jordán’s house in the United States had been spread.
Among others, the then assemblyman Ronny Aleaga , identified as ‘Ruso’, and Leonardo Cortázar, alleged operator of Danilo Carrera – brother-in-law of former President Guillermo Lasso – appeared in the graph in the corruption plot of the Encuentro case.
After that photograph was revealed and investigations began, Jordán and Norero began to talk regularly through Threema, an encrypted messaging application. Jordan used several aliases such as ‘ Daddy Yanky ‘, ‘ Husband ‘, ‘ Po ‘ and ‘ Ravioli ‘.
“Ññ I have never asked you for a favor, can you resolve this situation, “Jordán asked Norero, on June 10, 2022. Norero doubted the wisdom of that request, but in the end he agreed: “come on, who said fear?”.
Jordán and Norero did not understand why they wanted to link them. And also how through them they wanted to reach Aleaga. There Jordán was already talking about starting a “judicial war” against those who pointed them out.
Currently, from the United States, Jordán has sued Christian Zurita, Fernando Villavicencio, Nain Massuh and the prosecutor Diana Salazar. Furthermore, in Ecuador he filed proceedings against several media outlets.
Salazar is accused of defamation. He also threatened to report her to the American justice system with criminal charges, since she assured that she had notified the FBI of the case, denouncing that her chats were staged. The Prosecutor’s Office responded that it will continue with its investigation.
Salazar also announced that he will link Jordán to the investigation into the murder of Fernando Villavicencio due to the alleged surveillance of the former presidential candidate, which was revealed, precisely, in the Metastasis case.
Glas and the peninsular politicians
In another thread of interactions, between August 9 and 30, 2022, Jordán and Norero spoke of the failed attempt for former Vice President Jorge Glas and Daniel Salcedo, sentenced for corruption, to be released from prison with an irregular habeas corpus.
Jordán told Norero that he had put up USD 50,000 for what he called a “master move. ” But, in the end that move did not work, Glas and Salcedo were not released and Banny Molina, the judge who ruled in his favor, was sentenced and dismissed.
On August 21, 2022, Norero informed Jordán that ” he already had the cats for FV.” That these people were going to do intelligence from the following Monday.
At the beginning of September 2022, Jordán asked Norero for another favor. ” Scare them ” to José Daniel Villao and Daniel Cisneros, prefect of Santa Elena and mayor of Salinas, respectively.
According to Jordán, he had gotten Villao and Cisneros USD 12 million for some works, but they would have given the contracts to other people. So now he claimed for his commission that it should be USD 600,000.
Without thinking, Norero told him that yes, that he had people in Santa Elena and that he would start planning those “scares.”
