Three water agreements were signed with Cuba
As part of the official visit of the Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas to Cuba, three cooperation agreements of water issues between the two countries were signed in the presence of the Secretary of the Cuban Water Walter Solis.
The first agreement was signed between the Ministry of Water and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, for cooperation in areas related to scientific and technological development and innovation in water resource.
This agreement-umbrella will allow to develop and strengthen initiatives of national benefit in water issues and the first phase will run from July 20, which will last 12 days.
Among the works to be executed is the cleaning of water lettuces in the reservoir of the Chongon dam by the Gamma company.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Water and the National Institute of Water Resource (INRH, Cuban unique water authority) to ensure sustainable development, development and water protection was signed.
