UK and German Spies Feed Intel to Syrian Rebels

Syrian rebels aided by foreign spies
British and German spies on Syria have been sharing intelligence of troop movements to the rebels to aid the attacks against the forces of Bashar al-Assad regime.
An unnamed Syrian opposition official admitted that British intelligence is covertly aiding antigovernment forces in Syria. British authorities are aware of the intelligence sent from their Cyprus military bases that are being passed on through Turkey to the troops of the Free Syrian Army (FSA)
Meanwhile the German newspaper Bild revealed last Sunday that Germany is much more active in Syria. German spies, stationed on ships off the Syrian coast, are transmitting intelligence to the FSA.
According to the unnamed source the most valuable intelligence has been the troops movements, when early in August, FSA fighters were notified of two large columns of government troops advancing on Aleppo. This kind of information has helped the FSA to live to fight another day. (AV)
