Unasur will monitor the election process in Ecuador, from today
The electoral mission of UNASUR (Union of South American Nations), led by Maria Emma Mejia, was installed today in Quito to follow the electoral process held in Ecuador from January 4 until next February 17, date in which the President, Vice President, National and Provincial Assembly members and the Andean Parliament, will be elected.

On February 22, upon completion of the elections, the mission of the Unasur will issue a report to the National Electoral Council (CNE), on the findings of their observation.
According to the technical coordinator of the mission, Wilfrido Penco, the report shall include a record of the development of the electoral roll, what was the access to the information desks, the training to members of the polling stations, the electoral campaign financing and the functionality of the computer system of the electoral body.
