Posted On 15 Feb 2011
UNE denounced the lack of regulations to implement the Education Law. Vice-president of the Educators Union, William Pazmiño, disagreed with the decisions taken by the Secretariat of Education.
Pazmino states that, within the Education Act, there are no regulations for its implementation. On this regard, they did not discard demonstrations in the coming days.
Education legislation was one of the most worked and discussed within the National Assembly. Among other things, it establishes one baccalaureate, it offers educational development projects, and analyzes the remuneration chart of teachers. The legislation was approved last year and had 116 votes in favor.
