University Teachers Must Meet More Requirements to Practice Profession
Posted On 20 Aug 2012
The merit valuation and the teacher’s and researcher’s career of the higher education system from the Higher Education Council (CES for its Spanish acronym), states that university teachers must meet several requirements to practice or continue practicing their profession.
Among other requirements, teachers must have at least a fourth level degree, direct theses and have edited a foreign publication of transcendency.
Since last week, the CES socializes the project with principals, teachers and administrators of universities to implement the standard, as dictated by the Higher Education Act.
The deadline to approve the regulations expire next Sunday, but the CES will take more time to spread the regulations’ content. (MZ)
