Venezuelan people anxiously awaits news of Chávez operation

Yesterday the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, underwent his fourth surgery, which was “successful”, announced the vice president, Nicolas Maduro, who said that the Venezuelan leader has surpassed “the first obstacle” and now begins postoperative stage of “several days“.
Chávez operation lasted more than six hours, said Maduro, who specified that it was a “corrective surgery of the injury that recurred in the same location of the old injury,” he did not elaborate.
The news of the successful operation of the Venezuelan leader was received by Chavez supporters (chavistas), who gathered in the Bolivar Square with an hopeful applause.
