Daughter in law of Mexican singer Vicente Fernandez,  announced this morning that the results of his liver biopsy are negative for cancer.

“At least there is no alteration in his blood levels, an that indicates is not cancer, it may be eve a mole, but he’s Ok,” said Mara Patricia Castañeda, Vicente Fernandez Jr. wife to the Mexican newspaper El Universal.

The iconic singer of ‘Rancheras’ is currently under observation after the surgical procedure carried out to analyze a small tumor in his liver, last tuesday.

Castañeda also explained that the hospitalization of Fernandez, 72, was “sudden”, since last weekend he performed in two concerts which were part of his farewell tour throughout the United States.
