Whitney Houston’s clothes and accessories auctioned in $80,000
During the auction effected last Saturday the company Julien’s Auctions collected a total of $80,187 for 13 objects of the artist Whitney Houston. The gallery had the participation of interested people as well as people that put their offers by internet.
The auction was organized by the expert Darren Julien who proved to be satisfied with the event. The auction had some personal things of Houston; it included the earrings pearls that she used in the movie “The Bodyguard“. The pearls reached a price of $2,182.
A bustier embellished with elaborate beading, rhinestones and pearls brought $19,200 in bidding Saturday. Houston wore it in some of her concerts, but she lost it in an auction of storage, according to Julien.
Also it was auctioned clothes and accessories of the Golden Girl Rue McClanahan, of the actress Brittany Murphy, articles of Charles Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor‘s furniture, Marilyn Monroe‘s personal objects like letters, or the certificate of her death. (PL)
