XXX Olympic Games in London Opens Today

Tonight, London will celebrate the feast of sports in style, after seven grueling years of preparation and organization, being the third time that develops in this city (1908 and 1948).

More than 42,000 policemen (including police, military and private operators), will be responsible for maintaining security during the Games.

Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Duke of Edinburgh, will preside over an opening ceremony tonight will see about a billion people around the globe.

Around 10,000 athletes from 205 different countries will parade through the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

For this edition of the Olympic Games, the British ruled has invested 27 million pounds (33 million) to be about 1,028 million pounds (1,264 million) in setting up security.
