Yesterday, Pastor Eduardo Mora Leon went  to the Prosecutor’s Office, along with members of the Church “Altísimo Internacional”, which he leads, to give his version in the inquiry followed by the crime of hate.

The investigation was opened because of the incidents occurred in the procession of Cristo del Consuelo, on March 29, and outside the San Francisco church, on April 5, when a group led by Mora qualified the Catholics as idolatrous.

Mora arrived to the Prosecutor’s Office holding the Bible and a document with information opposing the veneration of images, and said he stands firm in its biblical position that “God demands that man do not worship images and that idolatry is a sin in the eyes of God” and assured that their expressions are not a result of hatred, but the love for Ecuador that is  “sinking into idolatry and Sin”.

“As long as God is with me I will continue preaching the word of the Lord,” the pastor emphasized.
