Yesterday Prosecutors office initiated investigations against Pedro Delgado
Yesterday, the Prosecutors office announced via its Twitter account that it has already opened a preliminary investigation against Pedro Delgado, cousin of President Rafael Correa, for ideological forgery, an offense that was charged more than a month ago by Assemblyman Enrique Herreria.
A few hours after the prosecution acknowledged the signature of the Assemblyman again and his complaint against Delgado, the agency announced that it would begin with the inquiry into the institutions of higher education and other certified copies of documents attached by Herreria in his investigation.
Meanwhile Herreria said the attorney general, Galo Chiriboga, should immediately begin a prosecution and issue a prison warrant to Delgado who is out of the country. Herreria said he was concerned because the prosecutor could delay the process instead of acting promptly.
