Zavala has no regrets and tomorrow he will appeal in the TCE
After the Electoral Contentious Tribunal (TCE) withdrew his political rights for one year and fined him $ 3,180 over undue offenses against the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex community (GLBTI for its Spanish acronym), former presidential candidate for the Partido Roldosista Ecuatoriano (PRE), Nelson Zavala, announced that tomorrow he will appeal his sentence.

Nelson Zavala
The evangelical pastor, will attempt to use that resource to reverse the sanctions imposed by the TCE and reiterated that the criticism he made about homosexuality is part of “God’s words” and therefore, is the truth, so he insisted that he will not retract.
Zavala said his case did not receive due process because the judge of the TCE, Patricio Baca, did not accept his request that the record submitted by the prosecution as evidence, be submitted to an expert.
“All I talked about was homosexuality and everybody was shocked, probably because there are homosexuals within the CNE, inside the TCE there must be lesbians and homosexuals who felt alluded,” Zavala said.
