180 applicants were registered in the CPC selection contest of overseers
Posted On 03 Feb 2015
The National Electoral Council (CNE) received 180 applications to act as overseers of the selection process of the 7 new members of the Council for Citizen Participation (CPC), which authorities said would last until July.
Since nominations are received, the CNE has five days to review the compliance with requirements, enable the overseers and send notifications. Those chosen will be trained and a spokesperson will be appointed among them.
When the plenary is aware of the report on how citizen oversight would be established, it shall convene the merit and opposition contest to form the CPC.
