The association of immigrants has welcomed the Government’s decision to exempt from this tax Ecuadorians living abroad for each shipping carried out through courier companies if they register in the Virtual Consulate.

Mario Cuvi, chairman of the Commission for Couriers of the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, disagrees with the measure and argued that the fee should be proportional, “ie, a percentage between 10% and 12% on the actual value of the good, not on the maximum which are $ 400”.
