4G mobile system will be accesible from now

From today users of the Conecel (Claro) operator, join those Otecel (Movistar) and CNT EP in the 4G service.
In February, the Claro and Movistar companies signed a contract for the expansion of the spectrum -which allows the use of the new technology- with the Ministry of Telecommunications.
Movistar offers 4G only in Quito since May. The state company CNT, however, has the service since last year.
According to Minister of Foreign Trade Diego Aulestia, the operation of the new technology was facilitated by the extension of the quota to import smartphones. He explained that further extensions will not be made because, according to the Committee on Foreign Trade- the amount awarded is sufficient.
