4×4 regulation will take effect on September 6

From September 6, 2014 will take effect the regulation that establishes a $ 42 tax for purchases made online and sent under the 4×4 modality, which comprises packages shipment through couriers with a value and weight less than $ 400 and 4 kilos .
This mechanism to bring merchandise, according the Coordinating Minister of Production Richard Espinosa, was affecting the productive sector of the country, and especially to the footwear and textile. “70% of purchases by the 4 × 4 system corresponds to textiles and footwear”, the official said.
He indicated that this system 4×4 at first imported between 20 and $ 25 million; however, until December 2013 it reached $ 152 million and it was expected that later this year closed with $ 200 million, without paying any type of tax.
