55 years of the Cristo del Consuelo Procession

Fifty-five years have passed since the first procession of the Cristo del Consuelo was held in Guayaquil with the typical image of the crucified Christ, and this year everything is ready for tomorrow’s procession.

Christ is no longer on his altar and the church has a steady stream of parishioners who are ready to participate once again in this symbolic journey through the seasons of his martyrdom and crucifixion.

Good Friday is considered as a time for reflection over the Christian world.
