8 national textile companies in Colombian fair

Posted On 22 Jan 2018

Ecuadornews:

Tomorrow begins in Medellin, Colombia, the thirtieth edition of Colombiatex de las Americas, a fair that brings together 550 exhibitors and about 15,800 buyers from 60 countries that are preparing to open the business agenda of the Textile-Clothing sector of 2018.

Ecuador will be present at the event, which will last until Thursday, with eight companies that will carry fabrics, cotton garments, acrylic wool, towels and others: Corozorient, Francelana, Ennotex, Robot, Pinto, Sintofil, Fashion Lana and Textiservi, reported Pro Ecuador.

For Textiservi it is the first time in Colombiatex. Juan Nasser indicates that they will bring wool of acrylic yarn, a product aimed at distributors. “We hope to expand the market in Colombia, a country in which we are already present.” Ennotex will base its offer on 100% polyester fabrics in flat weave, says its Sales Manager, Andrea Guerrero, to this newspaper.

She says that Colombiatex is the first international fair that they attend and that they hope to identify niche markets to place their products. While Andrés Salazar, from Robot, will offer zipper closures made of polyester and metallic, bags and articles made of neoprene.

“We are 100% national producers, we are present in most chains of Ecuador and our current goal is to export our ZIP brand products,” says Salazar. (I)
