80% of Brazilians applied for tickets for the worldcup
Through a letter published this Friday on the website of FIFA, the general secretary, Jerome Valcke, said that 80% of requests for tickets to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil have been made by residents in Brazil.
Valcke informed, “Around 80% of the requests come from persons residing in the host country, which shows that the experience in stadiums will be purely Brazilian.”
“The huge interest in getting tickets that are particularly showing the Brazilians, but also fans all over the world, it highlights the importance of living a World Cup in the country of the five-champion for any football fan,” added.
According to the secretary, this will ensure a great vibe in the stadium: “We all remember the wonderful atmosphere experienced during the FIFA Confederations Cup.”
